Working with Queries

You can save a new query or open an existing query with the options of renaming or deleting it.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin: To open an existing query, it must already reside in Available Queries.

Opening a Query

You can use the built-in search mechanism to find an existing query and load it.

  1. Select Queries.
    The Available Queries dialog opens.
  2. Search for the query by entering in the exact query name or choose a pre-existing query from the Available Queries window.

    When you enter the exact available query name, the name is highlighted in blue.

    The requested query name appears.
  3. Select Open.
    The requested query is loaded.

You have opened an existing query.

Saving a Query

You can save current search criteria as a predefined query in 3DEXPERIENCE.

  1. Type in the name of a new query.
  2. Click OK.

    You can also load a pre-existing query and rename it.

    The new query is saved or the pre-existing query is renamed.

Deleting a Query

You can delete available existing queries.

  1. Select Queries.
    The Available Queries dialog opens.
  2. Search for the query by entering in the exact query name or choose a pre-existing query from the Available Queries window.

    When you enter in the exact available query name, the name is highlighted in blue.

    The requested query name appears.
  3. Select Delete.
    The deleted query is removed from the available query list.
