Validating the Setup

You can validate meshes and physical conditions.

Before you begin: Create a flow optimization case and define conditions. For more information, see Creating a Flow Optimization.
  1. From the Validation section of the Flow analysis assistant panel, select Setup validation.
  2. Optional: From the Setup validation panel, click Configure to configure the fluid set mesh.
  3. From the Mesh options dialog box, define the mesh size.

You can click Auto to reinitialize the mesh size to its default value. A fine mesh gives a more accurate result but increases the duration of the computation.

  4. Optional: In the Expert options frame, do the following:
    1. To unlink the thickness of the first boundary layer with the mesh size, clear Link boundary layer thickness to mesh size.
    2. Define the thickness of the first boundary layer.
    3. Define the number of layers.
    4. Define the ratio for the layer thickness growth.

The thickness of the second boundary layer equals the thickness of the first layer multiplied by the ratio, and so on.

  5. Optional: Click Display to view information about the quality and the element type of the meshes.
  6. From the Setup validation panel, click Verify .

An information message appears when the verification of both model and scenario is completed.
