Creating a Pipe

You can create a pipe from the fluid geometry and connects it to inlets, outlets, and frozen volumes.

Before you begin:
  1. From the Surface design section of the action bar, click Create pipe .
  2. Define the following parameters:
    • Flow analysis
    • Optimized fluid volume
    • Outer surface
  3. Enter a thickness value.
  4. Select Include adjacent volumes if inlets, outlets, and frozen volumes must be part of the created pipe.

Inlets, outlets, and frozen volumes are thickened. The pipe is composed of the optimized fluid volume and the outer surface.

Note: If the outer surface is not connected to a thickened inlet, outlet, or frozen volume, then a blend feature (available from the Generative Shape Design app) is created between the surface and each thickened feature that is not connected to the surface.
