Transforming Geometry by Scaling

Scaling lets you scale geometry.

Before you begin: Create a 3D shape containing geometric elements.
  1. In the Element box, select the element to be scaled.
  2. In the Reference box, select the reference point, plane or planar surface.
  3. In the Ratio box, specify the scale factor by entering a value or using the arrows.

With plane as reference element (ratio = 2)

With point as reference (ratio = 2)
  4. Optional: Select Repeat object after OK to create several scaled surfaces, each separated from the initial surface by a multiple of the initial Ratio value.
  5. Click OK.
