What's New

This page describes recent changes in Hull Form Modeling.

R2022x GA

Draft Calculation Using Declared Weight

You can now compute hydrostatic parameters for different inclinations, using the draft computed with the declared weight of a selected product.
  • You can now also select multiple products for draft computation; the draft and therefore the hydrostatic parameters are computed separately for each selected product.
  • You can also use the declared weight of a selected product for computing the draft in the Section Area Curve command.
Benefits: Productivity is improved, as the hydrostatic analysis can be performed using multiple declared weights and CoGs at different inclinations.
For more information, see Computing Hydrostatic Parameters Generating the Section Area Curve

Declaring Weight on a Product

A new command, Define Weight , lets you quickly declare weight and CoG on a product.
Benefits: You can now declare weight on products faster, as you do not need to switch the app to activate the product level and start B.I. Essentials.
For more information, see Declaring Weight on a Product

GZ Parameter in Results Panel

The GZ parameter is now listed in the results panel.
Support to Polyhedral Geometry
You can now apply commands on polyhedral objects, or use polyhedral geometry as inputs.
Benefits: The app is more efficient and robust.
For more information, see Polyhedral Geometry in Hull Form Modeling.
