Creating a Formulation

Use Formulation to create a formulation to represent all the liquid layers applied to the application layer without any exploded view, and add a covering material to the formulation.

  1. Select the parent layers group.
  2. Optional: Edit the name of the formulation.
  3. Select the covering material, either from the proposed list or using the Content Chooser.
  4. Click Add Element and select liquid layers from the tree or from the 3D area.

If you select a layers group, all valid elements of the layers group are added.

  5. Use the arrows to reorder the elements.
  6. Click to remove an element.

    • Delete element: The element is deleted permanently from the model.
    • Remove element from formulation: The element is removed from the formulation, but still available.

  • The Formulation feature is a structure node aggregated under a layers group.
  • It contains the list of layers constituting the formulation.
  • It contains a Material Properties feature, a parameters set and a relations set.

The Formulation feature behaves as a layers group in review and transformation (Delegates the actions to its elements).
