3DPipingTubing_RigidRoute_BranchConnection

This check verifies whether the connection between a header rigid route and a branch rigid route is valid based on the behavior defined in the Branch Rule table. If not, the check fails.

This page discusses:

Context

The Branch Rule table ensures that when you are creating a branch, the connection type is compatible with the nominal size of the header route and the branch route.

Note: The check also fails if:
  • No specification is defined on the rigid route.
  • No Branch Rule table exists in the specification.
  • The Branch Rule table does not return any values for this context.

For more information about the table, see Piping & Tubing Design Administration Guide: Data Setup: Piping/Tubing Resource Files: Resource Files - Common Tables: Branch Rule.
