Managing a Study Template

You can create a study template or open an existing study. A study template is a Modelica library that contains models and extends a single source using assessment templates.

Open a Study Template

You can open an existing study template from the database.

To open a study template, do one of the following:
  • In the 3DSearch box, search for the study template and double-click or drag it into the work area.
  • Click Advanced search and double-click the study template or drag it into the work area.
  • Click Recent content and double-click the study template from the My recent content list.

Create a Study Template from a Model

You can create a study template from a Modelica model.

  1. To open a Modelica library, do one of the following:
    • In the 3DSearch box, search for the library and double-click it or drag it into the work area.
    • Click Advanced search and double-click the library or drag it into the work area.
    • Click Recent content and double-click the library from the My recent content list.
  2. In the Select a class to study dialog box, select a model from the selection tree and click Next.

    Note: When you select a model, the dialog box displays the details and diagram of the model.

  3. In the Please create a new study dialog box, enter the title of the study template and click Next.

    Warning: The title of the study template must comply with the naming conventions of the Modelica code.

A study template is created with a default assessment template.
