You can select options in the dialog boxes using your finger, as apposed to a mouse or other pointing device. Use this option with a tablet or mobile device.

You can select options in the dialog boxes using your finger, as apposed to a mouse or other pointing device. Use this option with a tablet or mobile device.

Context:

When Touch Mode is enabled, the selectable objects are displayed larger to make it easier to select.

From the View section of the action bar, click Touch Mode to turn touch mode on or off.
A context toolbar is displayed, providing quick access common commands. You can reposition the touch context toolbar by drag the dots . The following tools are included in the touch context toolbar.
Touch Shortcut. Provides a shortcut context toolbar for common commands.
Lock Rotation. Locks the rotation of the app on touch devices.
Offset Cursor. Offsets the cursor when you touch and drag on your touch screen to enable precision selection of items in the work area.
Multi select. Allows you to select multiple objects in the work area as the Shift and Ctrl keys do when using a keyboard.
Reframe. Moves the model to the center of the work area.
Normal To orients the view, normal to the selected plane or face.
Exit Action. Allows you to exit from the active action, command, or selection.

Touch-Optimized Handles

You can drag handles (large dots) in the 3D area to sketch and move profiles. These oversized handles are provided when using a tablet or mobile device.

  1. From the Sketch section of the action bar, click Create/Edit Sketch or the Line command.
  2. In the 3D area, tap to select the sketch plane (Top, Front, or Right).
    A sketch opens and a grid appears on the selected plane.

    The Sketch bar appears near the top of the 3D area. When you are in an active sketch, the active command icon is displayed in the Sketch bar.

  3. Drag the handle (large dot) to position the line in the 3D area.

    Tap various places to sketch a continuous line.

  4. Tap in the mobile device toolbar to draw an arc in the sketch.
  5. Tap to end the Line command.
  6. Sketch various entities using commands from the Sketch section of the action bar.
  7. Tap to exit the active sketch.
