Customizing the View Modes

You can manage the appearance of a model and scene using View Modes feature.


Before you begin: Open a model in the work area.
  1. From the View section of the action bar, click View Modes .
  2. Optional: In the dialog box, under Model, specify the following properties for a model.
    OptionDescription
    • Presets
    • Shading
    • Edges
    Displays a model with shading and with or without wireframe edges.
    Display Materials Displays the material of a model.
    Note: This option becomes available when you enable Shading with material preset.
    Default Appearance Specifies the default appearance for a model.
    Outline Displays the outline of a model.
  3. Optional: Under Visibility, click to display or hide the selected option in the work area.

    Planes Hides or displays the default reference Plane.
    Axis Hides or displays the reference axis.
    Points Hides or displays the origin and sketch points.
    Wires Hides or displays sketch entities.
  4. Optional: Under Scene, specify the following properties.
    OptionDescription
    Ambience Controls the background color, light, shadow, and reflection in a scene. The White Experience is the default ambience.
    Perspective Toggles between the Perspective and Parallel views.
    Note: The Perspective view is selected by default.
