Creating a Bevel

You can replace one edge on a subdivision object by several ones to increase the density of the mesh.


Before you begin: Create a 3D shape containing a subdivision surface.
  1. From the Subdivision section of the action bar, click Bevel .
  2. In the Bevel dialog box, select one or several edges on the subdivision object.
    The selected edges are highlighted in the 3D area, and the Bevel context toolbar is displayed.

  3. Optional: Drag the handle to adjust the size of the bevel.


  4. Optional: On the Bevel context toolbar, specify the number of cuts to create.
  5. In the Bevel dialog box, select the type of bevel to create:
    • Linear
    • Convex
    • Concave
  6. Click .

The bevel is created on the selected edges.
