Reversing the Normal of a Subdivision Face

You can invert the normal of meshes or subdivision surfaces.


Before you begin: Create a 3D shape containing a subdivision surface.
  1. Select one or more subdivision surfaces.
  2. From the Subdivision section of the action bar, click Reverse Normal .
    A normal arrow is displayed for each subdivision surface, and a command toolbar appears.

  3. Click the white arrow to invert the direction of the normal.
  4. Click to accept the current result and close the command.

    Note: Click to cancel the command and undo changes.
