About Surfaces

You can create fill surfaces and guided lofts from curves.

You can select the following types of curves as input:

  • Free curves created with the Curve command.
  • Section Outputs
  • Link Outputs

Fill Surface
Fill Surfaces need as input at least two curves that form a closed loop.
Guided Loft
Guided Lofts need as input two guide curves and two or multiple profile curves. You can use the Guided Loft command, for example, if the input curves do not provide the required result with the Fill Surface command.

In concept surfaces and joints, guided lofts are created when connecting two section curves and fill surfaces in concept surfaces when connecting more than two section curves.
To open the selection panel of fill surfaces and guided lofts automatically created in concept surfaces and joints, select the face output and click FacesEdit the selected face .
You can translate the surface and edit the surface attribute but not add or remove curves.
