Modifying Sections

You can modify sections created from a sketch.

Before you begin: Open a 3DShape containing a section.

Creating Sections
  1. In the tree, double-click a sketch to which the section to be modified is associated.
  2. In the Sketcher app, modify the sketch, for example add additional curves.


  3. Exit the Sketcher app .


    For each additional sketch domain a section domain is added to the associated section.
  4. Select a section, in the context toolbar, click Move and move the section.


  5. Select one section domain and move it to modify the section shape.


  6. Set the sketch to which the section is associated to Show mode.


    The section modification is not translated to the sketch.
  7. In the tree, double-click the sketch to open the Sketcher app, modify the sketch and exit .


    Subsequent modifications of the sketch are translated to the modified section maintaining the offset of the modified points and section domains to their original position.
  8. Select the section in the tree.
  9. In the Selection panel, click Align to Plane PICK.
  10. Select a plane to which the section shall be aligned.
