Upgrading Electronics Data

You can upgrade electronics data such as physical components, boards, and board assemblies, from older data models. Data from previous versions is still readable, however, the Electronics Data Upgrade command is required to edit and create new features on previous data models.

Before you begin: Import a data model from a previous version of Circuit Board Design.

  1. From the Create Electronic Object section of the action bar, click Electronics Data Upgrade .
  2. Select one of the following options:
    • Upgrade data to a new version.
    • Update data retaining the current version.
      Note: Update data retaining the current version is the only option available for electronic physical components.
  3. Click OK.

Your data is now upgraded according to your requirements.
