Associating Obstacles to an Electrical Branch Geometry

You can identify some objects as obstacles to a branch route, and automatically modify the route design to avoid them. .

Important:
  • Obstacles are always associated to all the branches of an electrical branch geometry. You cannot set an obstacle for one single branch.


Before you begin: Activate an electrical branch geometry.
  1. From the Branch section of the action bar, click Obstacles .
    The Turbo flex obstacles dialog box appears.
  2. In the work area, select the objects that are obstacles to the branch route.
    Selected objets are listed in the dialog box and are highlighted in the 3D area.
    Tip: To withdraw an object from the obstacles list, click Remove.
  3. Click OK to validate your selection.
    In the 3D area, the branch is highlighted in red because it is not up-to-date.

  4. From the standard area, click Update .
    • The branch shape is updated taking into account the geometry of the product and respecting the imposed length and bend radius.
    • Selected objects are no longer obstacles to the branch route.
