Creating Plants

You can create an additional plant for a company or company.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Administrator


Before you begin:
  • View the plants list for the company, or business unit. For more information, see Plants Page.
  1. From the page toolbar, click Create New .
  2. Enter details about the plant:

    Field NameDescription
    NameName of the plant.
    Address 1 and Address 2Plant address elements, generally any combination of street name, building number, suite number, or post office box number.
    CityThe city where the plant is located, or the city to which plant mail is delivered.
    Plant Time ZoneThe global time zone where the plant is located; select a time zone from the list.
    State/RegionThe state or region where the plant is located.
    Postal Code5-digit or 9-digit zip code in the U.S., or any postal code for international addresses.
    CountryName of the country where the plant is located.
    Non-Production DaysA list of dates when the plant will not be conducting business. Enter the dates using a mm/dd/yyyy format. Use a comma to separate each date. This information is used to validate the start date of MCOs and to calculate the MCO start date offset and end date offset.

  3. Click OK. The system automatically assigns a unique ID to the new plant.

The app creates the plant in the Inactive state. Use Maturity State in the page header (when viewing the properties for the plant) to promote it to active.
