Fill Separation Surface Does
- Core and cavity surfaces are open surfaces, with outer and inner boundaries. Inner
boundaries mean that there are holes that must be filled. Fill
Separation Surface
- Detects the inner boundaries and creates surfaces to fill those holes.
The output can be a join, that includes the initial surface or not.
- Cannot edit the output features (A new set of features is created).
- Does not color the output features.

FillSurfaceSet is created under
SetOfFillSurfaces. It contains the Fill
Surface features. If you have selected:
- One surface, only this feature is filled.
- A set of separation sides, all the separation surface features
of the set are filled.
- A separation side typed as
Cavity, or a feature with
Cavity in its name, the created feature is
typed as
Cavity.
- A separation side typed as
Core, or a feature with
Core in its name, the created feature is
typed as
Core.
- A separation side typed as
Slider, or a feature with
Slider in its name, the created feature is
typed as
Slider.
- For any other input selection, the output is not associated to
a specific
Molded Part type.
