About the Preparation of Holders

This section lists a few recommendations to follow when preparing holders for electrodes.

A sample of holder can be found under ..\startup\components\CoreCavityElectrodeCatalog\Holders\Samples\Sample_Holder_001.3dxml

The holder must be a Component of the Electrode family, with the type Holder. It can be a Structured Component, as explained in About Structured Components.

Two other types of the Electrode components (HolderBlock and HolderPlate) can help you create the holder.

The Hook of the holder is used to position it on the electrode. In the example, the Hook is on the bottom of the holder.

To automatically add material to the electrode while adding the holder, create an Assembly Feature of type Pad in the holder.

In the pictures below, the holder has been added to the electrode. The Pad is shown in green.
