Retrieving the Model Properties

You can retrieve the properties of a model, and create a HTML report and hidden parameters.

  1. From the Analysis & Preparation section of the action bar, click Model Properties .
  2. Select the shape to analyze, or the body containing the shape, and the axis system:

    • The shape must be connex.
    • The axis system defines the directions for the computation of length and the pulling direction for the computation of the projected area.
    • Only right-handed axis systems are supported.

  3. Optional: Define the units.
    1. Select the required unit from the lists.
    2. Optional: Click Save In General Options to save your choices in the general options.

Important: Save In General Options reverts to modifying units defined in Modeling in Main Preferences. It is taken into account everywhere, not just in this command.

  4. Define the Density value (for a correct computation of the Mass).

The proposed Density is 1000Kg/m3, or the material density defined in the current design table.

  5. Click Generate Report File.
    1. Enter the file path in the dialog box that opens and click Save.
    2. Click OK in the main dialog box.
    • Hidden Parameters are created in the tree. They are updated if the already existed.
    • An HTML report file is created under the path you have specified, with the information listed in the dialog box.
  6. Optional: In the tree, right-click Parameters and select Parameters object > Hidden Parameters.
    1. Select parameters to display them in the tree.
    2. Select parameters and edit them.
