Reducing the Radius of Fillets

You can reduce the radius of fillets to reduce processing time.

Before you begin: Under User Selection Filter in the App Options:
  • Click to select surfaces,
  • Click to select faces.

Solving Problems in Reducing the Radius of Fillets
  1. From the Analysis & Preparation section in the action bar, click Fillet Radius Reduction .
  2. Specify the Curvature Radius value to reach.
    • Select Target radius (recommended option) and enter the value to be reached.
    • Or select Decrease value and enter an absolute value by which the current value of each fillet will be decreased.
    • Or select Decrease percentage and enter the percentage of reduction of the current fillet.
  3. Select the fillet to reduce, either by selecting surfaces or faces or a Geometrical Set.

    Multiselection is available.

  4. Edit the name and color of the proposed Geometrical Set in which the output surfaces are created.

    If the Geometrical Set does not yet exist, it is created.

  5. Click Apply to compute and display the new surfaces in the work area.

CCVFilletSurface.x features are created.
