Creating a Surface by Color

You can create a surface based on colored areas (generated for example by Main Pulling Direction)

  1. Activate the geometrical set where you want to create the surfaces.
  2. From the Tooling Geometry section of the action bar, click .
  3. Select the shape.
    • Its name is displayed in the dialog box.
    • The colored areas found in the shape are listed as color patches in the dialog box.
    • The size of the corresponding colored areas is given for information.
  4. Select Hide extraction curve to hide all generated extraction curves.
  5. Select Apply shape color to apply the colors of the shape to the generated surfaces.
  6. Select the colored areas to consider (No surface will be created for an area that is not selected).

For each selected colored area, the output is:

  • A surface datum (colored or not).
  • A Paring Line made of the associated extraction curves (hidden or not).
