Building and Civil Assemblies

Providing an entry door to a 3D collaborative platform for civil engineering projects, Building and Civil Assemblies allows you to put the 3D product at the center of your design. It lets you compose new projects by searching for existing civil engineering–oriented products or creating new ones, brainstorm between designers and non-CAD specialists in 3D, and harness collective intelligence.

For civil engineering architects, civil engineers and designers, Building and Civil Assemblies provides the following key capabilities:

  • Create a product structure using construction types organized in ten categories:
    • Bridge Architecture
    • Bridge Spatial Structure
    • Bridge Structure
    • Building & Civil Architecture
    • Building & Civil Assembly
    • Building & Civil Element component
    • Building & Civil Furniture
    • Building & Civil Spatial Structure
    • Building & Civil Structure
    • Building Spatial Structure
  • Specify formats according to construction classification standards including IFC, OmniClass and Uniformat (Me > Preferences)
  • Assign attributes to construction products using the BIM Attributes tool.
  • Display the design range of products and take advantage of it.
  • Search for existing construction products (civil engineering–oriented objects).
  • Compose a dedicated structure of construction products with respect to aggregation rules and specifications.
  • Manage geolocation that involves:
    • Displaying a specific geolocation B.I. Essentials
    • Displaying a specific geolocation B.I. Essentials.
    • Specifying geolocation parameters on objects
    • Converting the geolocation data in various systems

Building and Civil Assemblies includes a set of geolocation tools that can be reused in other apps. Geolocation and Design Range Management are two distinct functionality.
