Creating a Bridge and Structural Elements

In this step, you will create a bridge element and insert structural elements successively such as abutments, decks, piers, beams.

  1. Select the site in the work area, and click Insert New Content in the context toolbar.
  2. Select Bridge:
    • In the expanded Bridge Spatial Structure section or
    • If you previously created a bridge, in the Most Recently Used section.
      Note: For more information about the Most Recently Used objects, see 3DEXPERIENCE Platform:Creating New Content.
    The bridge is created and selected.
  3. Still in the Insert New Content panel, type Abutment in the Find box, and click Search .
    The abutment element type is found and inserted accordingly.
  4. Insert successively a Deck and a Pier element under the bridge.
    A deck and a pier are inserted accordingly in the bridge product.
  5. Insert a Beam element into the Pier product. Select the pier and under the Building & Civil section, select a beam element.
    1. Select the pier .
    2. Under the Building & Civil section, select a beam element.
  6. Close the Insert New Content panel.

The bridge is created along with its structural elements.
