Editing Variant Value Properties

Product Managers and System Engineers can make changes to the basic details and attributes of a variant value.

Before you begin:

View the Properties page for the variant value. See Variant Values Properties Page.

  1. From the page toolbar, click Edit Details .
  2. Edit any of these details:

    SectionField NameDescription
    Basics Display Name Enter the display name of the variant value.
    Name Enter the new name of the variant value.
    TypeEnter the new object type of the variant value or click to select one.
    OwnerEnter the new owner of the variant value or click to select one.
    Additional InformationDesign ResponsibilityEnter the new organization responsible (RDO) for the variant value or click to select one.
    Display TextEnter the display text associated with the variant value.
    DescriptionEnter the detailed description of the variant value.
    Classification

    Only shows if you also use IP Classification.

    		Additional Attributes

    Enter the values for any attributes inherited from the class.

  3. Click Done to save your changes.
