Collaborative IP Management

The Collaborative IP Management app provides commands to manage the objects' lifecycle and collaboration (concurrent access to objects).

Collaborative IP Management provides the following key capabilities:

  • Duplicating objects
  • Viewing and modifying objects' attributes
  • Viewing the iterations of an object, and restoring one of them
  • Deleting objects
To collaborate with others, you can also manage the editability of objects, lock or unlock them, and change an object's owner.

After performing lifecycle and collaboration-related commands, you can resume authoring or navigation activities by switching to the previous app or to another app using the Compass.

You can access to the Collaborative IP Management app from tabs opened with most apps including:

  • Product Finder
  • Product Structure Design
  • System Finder
  • Functional & Logical Design
  • Bookmark

Collaborative IP Management commands are available either in the action bar, or under the Me, Add, Share and Home menus.

Note: Access to commands from apps can easily be tailored to your needs going through the Me > Preferences > Customize menu. For example, you can add frequently used commands from the Collaborative IP Management app to the action bar of another app, such as Drafting.
