Undo/Redo Overview

You can erase changes in a document to return it to its previous state.

  1. The standard area of the action bar provides three commands to let you reverse or recover actions.

    Cancels the last performed action.
    Recovers the last performed action.

When there is no action to recover, Repeat replaces Redo to let you restart the last command you used.

Displays an overview of actions that you can reverse or recover in the active objects.

Each action is identified by its name.

The Undo/Redo Overview dialog box contains two areas that let you choose:

    • The actions you can reverse from the numbered list displayed in the left column.
    • The actions you can recover from the numbered list displayed in the right column.

  2. In the Undo/Redo Overview dialog box, select an action, and then:
    • Click . This transfers the actions to the right part of the dialog box, and you can recover them afterward.
    • Click . This transfers the actions to the left part of the dialog box, and you can reverse them afterward.

If an action cannot be recovered, it is removed from the left column but is not displayed in the right column.

Note: Flush removes from the history all the finished global actions performed in the current editor.
