Accessing the Batch Monitor

You can either access the Batch Monitor from the command line or from the action bar.

This task shows you how to:

Access the Batch Monitor from the Command Line

You can use the CATUTIL command to access the Batch Monitor.

Before you begin: CATUTIL does not support all the parameters that can be used in the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. For example, cloud start options are not supported.
  1. Access the default installation folder, which is C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B424\OS_a\code\bin.
  2. Still in the default folder, run the command CATUTIL.
  3. In the Connect dialog box, enter a username and a password.
  4. Click OK to validate.

The Batch Monitor opens.

For more information about how to run a batch using CATUTIL, see Running a Batch from CATUTIL.

Access the Batch Monitor from a Session

You can access the Batch Monitor by clicking Utility in the Tools section.

  1. Start a session.
  2. From the Tools section of the action bar, click Utility... .

The Batch Monitor opens and you can then access a batch interface. To do so:

  • Double-click the batch of your choice from the list.
  • Right-click a batch from the list then select New parameter file.
  • Click a batch from the list then select File > New parameter file.

Get Help from the Batch Monitor

You can access general or batch-specific online help.

From the Batch Monitor dialog box, do one of the following:
  • From any tab and with no batch selected, select Help > Batch Monitor Help: the general online help on the Batch Monitor opens.
  • In the Utilities tab, click a batch from the list then select Help > Batch Monitor Help (or right-click a batch then select Batch Monitor Help): the batch-specific online help opens.
  • Click Help in the upper right corner of the corresponding batch interface: the batch-specific online help opens.

Important: You cannot use F1 to access contextual help.
