Working in a Co-Review

A Co-Review enables you to collaborate with your colleagues around a 3D object as if you were working together, side-by-side, in the same office. The following features are included: co-highlighting, viewpoint synchronization, turntable synchronization, tree level synchronization (except for a 3D XML connector), co-review leader's annotations, co-review leader's pointer.

Creating a Co-Review

You can create a Co-Review to interactively review a digital mockup.

In the 3DInstant Messaging, click a collaborator and then click Start Co-Review .
An invitation to a Co-Review will be sent to the person with whom you are currently collaborating.
Warning: You cannot send a co-review invitation to a person whose availability status is Away or Do not Disturb.

Creating a Co-Review Between Multiple Users

You can create a Co-Review between multiple users.

In the 3DInstant Messaging, click a group name and select Start Co-Review .
An invitation to a Co-Review will be sent to all members of the group.

Note: For huge content it could take a non-negligible amount of time for the Co-Review tab to appear. The dialog box will appear on the sender's side while the Co-Review tab is being prepared. You can:
  • wait (the dialog box will disappear when content has been loaded in all participants' sessions)
  • click Start to force the start of the Co-Review.
    Tip: A Co-Review can start without all participants accepting the invitation.
  • click Abort to cancel the Co-Review

Joining a Co-Review

You can join a Co-Review to which you've been invited.

To accept an invitation to a Co-Review, click the invitation message that appears in the Message Board.

Requesting a Co-Review Lead

As a participant in a Co-Review created by another user, you can request the Co-Review lead. In the following, the original creator of the Co-Review will be referred to as user1.

  1. In the Co-Review icon bar, click Request Co-Review Lead .
    A message is sent to the current Co-Review leader, asking for his/her agreement to relinquish the lead.
    Warning: To send a message requesting the Co-Review lead, both users must be in "Active" status.
  2. If the current leader clicks Yes, then you will be given the Co-Review lead.
    You will receive a message indicating that your request has been accepted.
  3. If the current leader clicks No, then you will not be given the Co-Review lead.
    You will receive a message indicating that your request has not been accepted.

Sharing Your Pointer

You can share your pointer during a Co-Review.

  1. To share your pointer, in the Co-Review icon bar, click Share remote pointer .
    Your pointer will be shared with all participants of the Co-Review.

  2. To stop sharing your pointer, in the Co-Review icon bar, click Stop sharing mouse pointer .
    Your pointer will no longer be shared with other participants of the Co-Review.

Leaving a Co-Review

You can leave a Co-Review whenever you wish.

In the Co-Review iconbar, click Leave Co-Review .
You leave the Co-Review and the node that corresponds to the co-review disappears.

Note: A Co-Review will end if either user changes availability status to Do Not Disturb.
