You can display an object's structure in a separate panel to facilitate
alternate selections.
From the App Options panel, click Select to
enter selection mode.
To access the
App Options
panel, from the
Tools section of the action bar, select
App Options.
In
the 3D area, right-click an object, and then select Other Selection....
The Other Selections panel contains the location of the
selected element in the tree and gives the path to the top of the tree.
Important:
You can also navigate up and
down the tree inside the Other Selections
dialog box using the preselection navigator or keyboard arrows, and select other objects.
In the 3D area, select another object.
The information displayed on the Other Selections panel is
updated accordingly.
This command also lets you select characteristic elements such as
the axis used when a cylindrical part was created.
