Create a New Object

In the top bar, position your mouse over
Add
and select
Add > Content in the list (or press
CTRL+N):
The New Content dialog box appears.
Warning: You can create only content for the configurations/products you installed and for which you have a license. For example, if you do not have a license for Drafting apps, the Drawing object is not listed. -
To create an object, do either of the following:
- Select a type of object in the Favorites section.
- Select the type of object of your choice in the different types displayed under the Favorites list.
- In the Find box, enter a search string
corresponding to the type of object you want to create (for example,
"mat" to search for "material"), then click or press
Enter. All the types content matching the
criterion are displayed in the list. You can select the type of object
you want to create. Note: To enter several key words, separate them using commas. You can also search for a type, for example cat:Logical.

The object is directly created. By default, the dialog box showing the attributes is not displayed.Note:- If you want to access the attributes dialog box, see Manage the New Content Dialog Box Layout.
- You can create objects using the direct shortcuts in the Add menu. By default, you have Add > Physical Product, Add > 3D Part and Add > Drawing. These shortcuts can be administrated.
Important: The undo stack is flushed after the creation of an entity.
