Using the Tree and the Geometry Overview

You can zoom on the tree or display the geometry in a dedicated panel.

Use the Tree Overview

You can zoom in or out on the tree in a dedicated panel.

  1. Right-click an element in the tree then select Display > Tree Overview (or press Shift+F2).
    This displays the Overview on specifications panel containing a view of a tree's portion.
  2. Point to the overview dialog box to display the pointer, and drag.
    This drags the overview viewport through which you view part of the tree.

    While dragging, the pointer changes to .

  3. Drag the handles located in the upper-right and lower-left corners of the viewport.
    This zooms the size of the overview viewport. Only that part of the tree that you see inside the overview viewport is visible in the document tab.

Use the Geometry Overview

You can visualize more precisely the geometry in a dedicated panel.

  1. With geometry visible, type c:geometry overview, and then press Enter in the power input box.
    The geometry is displayed in the Overview on geometry panel, but not the tree.
  2. Point to the overview dialog box to display the pointer, and drag.
    This drags the overview viewport through which you view the geometry. Only that part of the geometry that you see inside the overview viewport is visible in the tab.
    Important: You can resize the overview dialog box itself to see the whole of the viewport.
  3. Drag the handles located in the upper-right and lower-left corners of the viewport to zoom the size of the overview viewport.
    While you drag, the pointer changes to: .

    This lets you zoom the geometry in and out in the tab.
