Create Databases and Database Users on Oracle

You can create databases and database users in Oracle.

  1. Access the database management tools.

    On Oracle, database names must not begin with a number and must not exceed 8 characters (as specified in the Oracle documentation).

    When creating the databases, you should specify the CHARACTER SET of the database to be able to support non-roman alphabet characters. The Oracle database character set must be set to AL32UTF8.

  2. Execute the following script:

    create user M1 identified by M1;
    grant connect, resource, create view to M1;
    CREATE SMALLFILE TABLESPACE "M1" LOGGING DATAFILE 'D:\oracle\oradata\WKR1\M1.dbf' SIZE 10M AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 10M MAXSIZE UNLIMITED EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO ;
    ALTER USER M1 default tablespace M1;
    GRANT UNLIMITED TABLESPACE TO M1;
    CREATE SMALLFILE TABLESPACE "I1_DATA" LOGGING DATAFILE 'D:\oracle\oradata\WKR1\I1_DATA.dbf' SIZE 10M AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 10M MAXSIZE UNLIMITED EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO ;
    CREATE SMALLFILE TABLESPACE "I1_INDEX" LOGGING DATAFILE 'D:\oracle\oradata\WKR1\I1_INDEX.dbf' SIZE 10M AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 10M MAXSIZE UNLIMITED EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO ;
    CREATE SMALLFILE TABLESPACE "M1_DATA" LOGGING DATAFILE 'D:\oracle\oradata\WKR1\M1_DATA.dbf' SIZE 10M AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 10M MAXSIZE UNLIMITED EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO ;
    CREATE SMALLFILE TABLESPACE "M1_INDEX" LOGGING DATAFILE 'D:\oracle\oradata\WKR1\M1_INDEX.dbf' SIZE 10M AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 10M MAXSIZE UNLIMITED EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO ;
    CREATE SMALLFILE TABLESPACE "V1_DATA" LOGGING DATAFILE 'D:\oracle\oradata\WKR1\V1_DATA.dbf' SIZE 10M AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 10M MAXSIZE UNLIMITED EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO ;
    CREATE SMALLFILE TABLESPACE "V1_INDEX" LOGGING DATAFILE 'D:\oracle\oradata\WKR1\V1_INDEX.dbf' SIZE 10M AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 10M MAXSIZE UNLIMITED EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO ;
