User Roles

The system administrator has to configure certain roles which enables users to perform different tasks. A user's role determines what tasks they can perfom during an object's lifecycle.

This role is intended to provide limited authoring capability in the product.

View Access to Enterprise Part, Manufacturer Equivalent Part, Supplier Equivalent Part and their mappings, Qualification information.

Create/Manage Enterprise Part, Manufacturer Equivalent Part, Supplier Equivalent Part

Create/Manage mapping between Enterprise Part - Manufacturer Equivalent Part, and Enterprise Part - Supplier Equivalent Part

Component Qualification Engineer

This role is intended to provide full features access in the product.

Component Author

View Access to Enterprise Part, Manufacturer Equivalent Part, Supplier Equivalent Partand their mappings, Qualification information

Create/Manage Enterprise Part, Manufacturer Equivalent Part, Supplier Equivalent Part

Create/Manage mapping between Enterprise Part - Manufacturer Equivalent Part, and Enterprise Part - Supplier Equivalent Part

Qualify MEP and SEP

Along with the above roles, 'Company representative' and 'Librarian' roles are required to be provided for 'Component Author' and 'Component Qualification Engineer' roles.

And 'Library User' has to be provided for 'Component User' role.
