Component Classification Access Model

Component Classification does not use the 3DEXPERIENCE platform 3DSpace baseline configuration. You can access Component Classification from the Compass, but you cannot use it with 3DDashboard.

Component Classification includes the following app-specific access roles that your business administrator assigns to users. You may have one or more of these roles assigned to you. When you log in, you have the access assigned to that role. You can use the Me > My Credentials dialog box to switch roles without logging out.

Each role is described below.

Access Role Description
Component User This role is intended to provide view access in the product.

Parent role: Global User

Function: View Access to Enterprise Part, Manufacturer Equivalent Part, Supplier Equivalent Part and their mappings, Qualification information
Component Author This role is intended to provide limited authoring capability in the product.

Parent role: Component User

Function: View Access to Enterprise Part, Manufacturer Equivalent Part, Supplier Equivalent Part and their mappings, Qualification information.

Create/Manage Enterprise Part, Manufacturer Equivalent Part, Supplier Equivalent Part

Create/Manage mapping between Enterprise Part - Manufacturer Equivalent Part, and Enterprise Part - Supplier Equivalent Part
Component Qualification Engineer This role is intended to provide full features access in the product.
