Working with Standard Part

This section explains the functions you can perform using Standard Part.

This task shows you how to:

Adding Standard Part to MEP

You can add an Standard part to MEP using this function.

  1. Search for a MEP.
  2. Select a MEP from the search results.
  3. From the page toolbar, click the CPC Equivalents tab and then click the Parts tab.
  4. You can add parts to MEP in the following ways:
    • Create Part - Create a new part and add it to MEP.
    • Add Existing Part - Search for a existing part from the database and add it to MEP.

Adding Standard Part to SEP

You can add an Standard Part to a SEP using this function.

  1. Search for a SEP.
  2. Select a part from the search results.
  3. From the page toolbar, click the CPC Equivalents tab and then click the Parts tab.
  4. You can add a parts to SEP in the following ways:
    • Create Part
    • Add Existing Part: Search for a existing part from the database and add it to MEP.

Removing Standard Parts

You can remove Standard Parts attached to MEP or SEP using this function.

  1. Search for a Manufacturer or Supplier Equivalent part.
  2. Select the part from the search results.
  3. From the page toolbar, click the CPC Equivalents tab and then click the Parts tab.
  4. Select the part and click Remove from the toolbar.

Note: Removing Part from this section would only remove the Equivalents link however the Part would still remain in the database.
