Creating SEP Qualification

You can create a SEP Qualification using this function.

Only users with Component Qualification Engineer can perform part qualifications.


Before you begin:

Access the Properties page of a part.

  1. In the navigation pane, click Equivalents.
  2. Select the Supplier Equivalents tab.
    The list of SEP's attached to the Enterprise Part are displayed.
  3. Select an SEP

    Ensure that the selected SEP is not qualified for the Enterprise Part.

  4. From the page toolbar, click Actions > Qualify.

    Enter the following details:

    Type: Enter the qualification type.

    Name: Enter the name for the qualification.

    Usage Location: Enter the location or click and search the usage location.

    Preference: Select whether the location is Preferred or Not Preferred.

    Qualification Description: Enter the qualification description details.

    Preference Score: Enter the preference score.

    Supplier Location: Select the supplier location from the drop down menu.

    Choose Assembly: Enter or select the assembly from the database to create a qualification in context of BOM. Keep the field blank to create a qualification without context of BOM.

    Note: Note that Qualification gets categorized as QSL1 or QSL2 type based on the selection of value for Supplier Location field without the context of a BOM. If value for this field is selected then it is QSL1 type or else QSL2.
    Note: Note that Qualification gets categorized as BQSL1 or BQSL2 type based on the selection of value for Supplier Location field in context of a BOM. If value for this field is selected then it is BQSL1 type else BQSL2.

  5. Click Done.
    The SEP is qualified and the qualification details are updated.
