Creating Iso-Thickness Junction Lines Manually

Iso-thickness Junction Lines creates junction lines from iso-thickness areas. They provide a greater stability when updating the solid after having modified the design .Iso-thickness junction lines are Generative Shape Design lines, that can be edited as such, based on the ramp support curves.

  1. Make a Geometrical Set the In Work Object.
  2. Select a vertex of a ply contour or an iso-thickness area (start point of the junction line).
  3. Pick a second vertex.
    • The line is created in the In Work Object.
  4. Repeat as required to create all required junctions lines.
  5. To update invalid junction lines after the solid creation, start a standard update after a modification.
If a junction line is no longer valid, a message is displayed.
  6. In the message box, click Edit.
  7. Click Apply in the Solid from Iso-Thickness areas dialog box.
