Creating a Rosette Transfer Curve

To simulate draping in producibility, use Rosette Transfer Curve: You can create and edit a curve that indicates where a chosen orientation is on the selected reference surface. The curve is computed from the rosette transfer type information, or from automatic inputs when created within a producibility command.

  1. Activate the geometrical set where you want to create the rosette transfer curve.
  2. Select a rosette.
  3. Select the surface where the curve is created.

In most cases, it is the reference surface.

  4. Select a passage point of the curve.
  5. Select an orientation.
  6. Define a Maximum Deviation angle.
  7. Click Preview.
    • The Rosette is transferred at the selected point.
    • A point-direction geodesic line is created at the selected point in the direction given by the transferred rosette at the selected point. Its length depends on the surface size.
    • The Rosette is transferred at the end of the geodesic line. A new geodesic line is computed from there.
    • These two steps are repeated until the geodesic line is stopped by a surface boundary, or intersects another geodesic line, or itself. This could be the case on a cylindrical surface.
    • The process is repeated in the other direction from the selected point.
