Defining the Panel

Grid Panel defines grid panes in several steps, each step having its own dialog box.

  1. Select a support surface (no hole allowed).
  2. Pick the red arrow or Reverse direction to invert the draping direction.
  3. Select a rosette from the list.
  4. Create the first structural group:
    1. Select the grid Reference Elements Group.1 in the dialog box.
    2. Optional: Enter a new name in the Group prefix and click Rename Group:
    3. Select the elements in the 3D area.
  5. Click Add and repeat the step above to add a second structural group.
  6. When required, create a contour to define Panel limits (Edge of Part).
  7. Select a structural group in the Panel definition dialog box, and click Edit to specify the ramp definition.
  8. Decide to apply the same ramp definition on both sides, or not.
  9. Select an existing ramp definition from the list, or click New to create one.
  10. Select a 3D Visu Mode.
  11. Select a reference element and click Edit.
  12. Proceed as explained for the structural group, with the difference that you can add a sub-staggering.
    1. Click Add.
    2. Select the two elements that limit the sub-staggering.
    3. From the list, select a ramp definition to apply to the sub-staggering.
