Defining the EEOP or the MEOP

You can define the Engineering Edge Of Part (EEOP) and the Manufacturing Edge Of Part (MEOP) in the same way. The edge of part is the outer boundary of the plies. The MEOP is larger than the EEOP.

Note: An EEOP / MEOP couple per surface is mandatory to define the material excess.

  1. From the Skin Swapping and Ply Extensions section of the action bar, click Edge Of Part .
  2. Select the surface on which you want to create the EEOP.
  3. Select curves to form a closed contour.

    See Creating a Contour for more information.

  4. Click OK to create the EOP.
    The EEOP.1 element is displayed in the tree and contains the closed contour.
