Merging Stackings

You can merge two stackings into one destination stacking.

Notes: This task is available in Composites Design and Composites Manufacturing Preparation.

About Merging Stacking
  1. Open the origin representation containing a stacking to merge.
  2. Ensure you have write permission on the origin representation.
  3. From the Composites Collaboration section of the action bar, click Merge Stacking .
  4. Click ... to select the representation with the second stacking to merge.
    • The stackings are merged.
    • A report is displayed.

      Check is done on a ply basis (ply by ply) and displayed status is as follows for a ply:

      • Created: The ply has been created during the operation.
      • Deleted: The ply has been deleted during the operation.
      • Modified: The ply has been modified during operation. In this case, a message details the modification.
      • Following modifications can be displayed (there can be several modifications listed one by one):

        • Material has changed.
        • Orientation has changed.
        • Resulting contour has changed.

  5. In the report box, click Export and enter a path and file name to export the report.
  6. Save the origin representation as requested.
