Creating Stacking Texts on Plies

You can add text information to several stacking entities, for example to enhance Laser Projection Export.

This task is available in Composites Design and Composites Manufacturing Preparation.

  1. From the Composites Collaboration section of the action bar, click Stacking Text on Plies .
  2. Select a stacking, a plies group, a sequence, a ply, a cut-piece or a flatten body as the parent of the stacking text.

Note: Stacking Text on Plies does not support unfold feature.

  3. Select 3D as the type of text.
    1. Select the type of Anchor.

The point can be selected or created with the context menu.

  4. Alternatively, select On Flatten as.
    1. Choose a category from the list.
    2. Select the type of Anchor

Best fit (automatic) is a one-shot positioning. It is not updated if the ply shape or orientation are modified.

  5. Define the text.

Stacking Text on Plies supports all characters as well as the following keywords.

In the resulting text, whenever possible, a keyword is replaced by the corresponding value. Otherwise, it remains as is in the resulting text. The interpretation of a keyword depends on its position in the stacking as shown below:
