-
From the Grid Design section of the action bar, click Synchronize Stacking
.
A Virtual Stacking and a plies group are proposed.
-
Optional: Modify the selection as required, for example if
the link is broken.
- Select one or both types of analysis to perform. Click Launch analysis.
Synchronize Stacking looks for:
- Geometrical covering
- Ply attributes
- Missing or removed plies
- Changes in order or sequences
- Changes in cell covering
- Changes of names or materials.
- Logical covering based on the reference elements defining the contour of the virtual
ply. It verifies that the corresponding ply contour uses matching ramp support
curves.
The status of each element is displayed. A global control is run when the Virtual
Stacking has been edited. You are informed that:
- Elements need to be updated and you are asked whether you want to carry out the
update or not.
- Mirror plies have been found and you are asked whether you want to carry out the
update or not.
- The design has been modified (swap edge, reroute, angle cut, limit contour,
contour edition), thus modifying the plies.
- Overlaps on modified contours have been found. They are highlighted in the 3D area.
- Cell coverage divergences have been found. They are displayed in the status
column.
To improve the space required by plies, the existing ramp curves of the ply
to modify are reused. Angle cuts are kept at the condition that the neighbor
geometry has not been modified. - Select plies and choose one action (Ignore Selected, Ignore all, Consider selected or Consider all).
Available also in context menu -
Select the Synchronization direction and the synchronization Covering mode.
Note:
From Ply Group to Virtual Stacking starts Plies From Virtual
Stacking.
- Click Launch synchronization.
- If the synchronization has not been completed, revert to the dialog box and solve remaining issues.
