Allergens

This page lists the allergens associated with the part. You can add allergens and define their contribution cause. Your business administrator can configure the list of allergens, and import and export allergens.

To access this page:

Open a part.

Column Name	Description
Title	The name of the allergen.
Contribution Cause	The cause by which the allergen affects the part. The contribution causes in order of precedence are as follows: Direct Onsite Contamination Cross Absent Double click the contribution cause and select another cause from the list.

Action	Description
Add	Lets you add allergens to the part. You cannot add allergens if the part is in the Obsolete state. Click . Select the required allergens and click Ok. The selected allergen is added. If the selected allergen has a parent allergen, the parent is added if it is not already added to the list. If the selected allergen has child allergens, they are not added.
Remove	Removes the selected allergens. If the selected allergen has child allergens, the parent and the child allergens are removed.
Summarize Allergens	Shows the summary of allergens in the part and its sub assemblies. The allergens and the ingredients to which they are associated along with the individual contribution causes are listed. The originating item is shown for allergens that are present in sub assemblies. It is not shown for allergens that are present directly in the part. The overall contribution for the allergen is shown based on the order of precedence. If an allergen is present in multiple ingredients with different contribution causes, the contribution cause that is highest in the order of precedence is shown. You can select a different contribution cause from the list. When you click Save, the allergens are summarized and all the allergens are shown in the Allergens page of the part.
