Recalling a Controlled Print

You can recall a controlled print of a product data.

Before you begin: You must have the role of a Document Center Administrator.
  1. To recall a controlled print, do one of the following:
    • From the category menu of home page, click Controlled Print Report.
Note: This page lists all the controlled prints taken.
    • Open a product data, from the category menu click Controlled Prints.
Note: This page lists the controlled prints issued for that particular product data.
  2. Select the controlled print that you want to recall.
  3. Click Recall.
A message is displayed indicating that the controlled print recall has been initiated.

The system emails the user who has issued the controlled print that you recalled. The Recall Status for the controlled print is Initiated until the user to whom the controlled print was issued acknowledges the recall. Once the user acknowledges the recall, the Recall Status for the controlled print is Recalled.

External recipients who were issued the controlled document will be notified by email if the controlled print is recalled, but do not have access to the system to acknowledge the recall. The DCA must manually acknowledge the recall for external recipients.

Users can no longer access the controlled prints that are Recalled.
