My Periodic Reviews

The My Periodic Reviews page tab lists all parts and technical specifications scheduled for your review. You only see this page tab if you have the Subject Matter Expert role.

Important: This app stores personal data in some settings. To follow good personal data management practices, Business Administrators might need to edit these settings to remove personal data, such as names, email addresses, and phone numbers.

To access this page:

  1. Click .
  2. Select My Periodic Reviews.

Columns

Your page view choice determines which columns display in the table. Most columns display in all views. Pending Review is the default page view.

Column HeaderColumn NameDescription
NameThe name of the part or technical specification. You can click the name to open the object in a new window. Right-click on the name to access the shortcut menu.
TitleA descriptive title of the part or technical specification.
TypeThe type of part or technical specification.
StateThe current state of the part or technical specification.
RevThe revision level of the part or technical specification.
VerThe version number of the latest part or technical specification checked in. An icon indicates whether there are multiple files.
Number of files locked/number of files checked into the part or technical specification. For example, 2/4 indicates 2 files of the 4 files checked into this object are locked. Pause over the number to view the name of the user who has locked the file. Click to view the list of files.

Subscribe

View and select subscriptions for a part or technical specification. See Collaboration and Approvals User's Guide: Subscription Management.



Download

Download the files in the part or technical specification to your local computer. Browse to the directory or folder you want to contain the file.

When the part or technical specification contains multiple files, they are downloaded in a single zip file.



Check Out and Lock

Check out the files in the part or technical specification to your local computer and lock the files from other users who cannot unlock it. Navigate to the folder or directory you want to contain the file.

When the part or technical specification contains multiple files, they are downloaded in a single zip file.



Update Files

Update a checked-out file to its next version. See Collaboration and Approvals User's Guide: Uploading Files.



Check In

Check in a new file. See Collaboration and Approvals User's Guide: Uploading Files.



Lock

Lock the file without checking it out.



Unlock

Unlock the file without checking in a new version.

ViewOpen the file in a viewer app.

Next Review (Periodic Review Status)

Periodic review status:

Status IconDescription
The Next Review Date has passed without the review being completed.
The Next Review Date is approaching (your company determines how close to the review date the status turns yellow).
The object is not due for review.

The app notifies you when it is time to review a part or technical specification.
Next Review DateThe date of the next required review for this part or technical specification.
DispositionThe disposition of the review for this part or technical specification:
  • Keep Released
  • Changes Required

If the review has not yet been completed, this field is empty.

SMEThe person or Member List assigned as the Subject Matter Expert to review the part or technical specification.
Assignee

Does not show when the My Assignment filter is applied.

Displays one of the following to indicate the assigned Subject Matter Expert for the review:
  • Unassigned means that a Member List was specified as the Subject Matter Expert, but no one from the Member List has accepted the review assignment.
  • Pending Acceptance followed by a name in parentheses means that the review has been reassigned to the specified person as a Temporary Assignee, but it has not yet been accepted.
  • The name of the specified Subject Matter Expert, the name of the user in the Member List that has accepted the review assignment, or the name of the Temporary Assignee that has accepted the review assignment.
Last Review DateThe date of the last periodic review for this part or technical specification.
ReviewerThe name of the person who performed the last periodic review for this part or technical specification.

Filters

You can filter the periodic reviews by the following options:

Filter OptionDescription
AllAll parts and technical specifications where you can complete the next periodic review, meaning those where you are the selected Subject Matter Expert and those where a Member List to which you belong is the Subject Matter Expert.
My AssignmentsOnly those parts and technical specifications where you are assigned as the Subject Matter Expert.

Periodic Review Allows you to complete the current periodic review. Enter review comments and your password.

The current date becomes the Last Review Date, and the app updates the Next Review Date based on the defined interval for the part or technical specification.

If a file in the part or technical specification is checked out, you cannot complete the periodic review.

If an active change action is associated with the part or technical specification, you cannot complete the periodic review.

Completing a Periodic Review
Reassign Temporarily reassigns the selected part or technical specification to another Subject Matter Expert for the current periodic review cycle.

The selected person will be notified about the reassignment and must accept the assignment before they can complete the periodic review.

Accept Assignment Accepts the temporary reassignment for the selected part or technical specification if someone reassigned the periodic review to you or accepts the review assignment if it was assigned to a Member List to which you belong.

Click OK to accept the assignment.

If the review was temporarily assigned to you, the responsibility for review lasts for a single review cycle only, then it reverts to the original Subject Matter Expert.

The app notifies the original Subject Matter Expert or the Member List that you accepted the assignment.

Reject Assignment Rejects the temporary reassignment for the selected part or technical specification and notifies the original Subject Matter Expert who reassigned it to you.Rejecting a Periodic Review Assignment
Enable EditToggles the page to the edit mode. In edit mode, you can use inline editing to reassign reviews to other Subject Matter Experts.About 3DSearch Queries
Disable Edit

Toggles the page to the view mode.

Remove Reassignment Removes a temporary reassignment to review the selected part or technical specification if it has not yet been accepted by from the Temporary Assignee, or if the assignment has been accepted by a member of a Member List but should again be available for acceptance by any member of the Member List.

Click OK to confirm. The review responsibility is transferred to the original Subject Matter Expert.

You must be either the original Subject Matter Expert assigned to the review, a member of the Member List assigned as the Subject Matter Expert, or be a Document Center Administrator to perform this action.

Change Order > New Change Order Creates a change order and connects this part or technical specification to that change order.

You can only create a change order if the part or technical specification is in the Preliminary, Released, or Superseded state.

You must be a Document Center Administrator for the responsible organization, or the Subject Matter Expert for the part or technical specification.

Click OK to clear the confirmation message.

Creating a Change Order
Change Order > Existing Change Order Attaches the selected part or technical specification to an existing change order.

The selected part or technical specification must be in the Preliminary, Released, or Superseded state.

Click OK to clear the confirmation message.

Change Request > New Change Request Creates a change request and associates the selected part or technical specification with the new change order.

The selected part or technical specification must be in the Preliminary, Released, or Superseded state.

After creating the change request, edit its properties to add a CO Template, if appropriate.
