Type | The type of section. The following types are listed:- Value Only: Displays only the value of an attribute.
- Horizontal List: Displays the name and value pair of attributes in a horizontal list.
- Horizontal List with 2 columns: Displays the name and value pair of attributes in a horizontal list with 2 columns.
- Vertical List: Displays the name and value pair of attributes in a vertical List.
- Table: Displays the table that you select as a section in the template.
Notes:
Note the following:- You can remove any of the section types if not required.
- In the Table list, select one of the following: Approvals, Content, Reference Documents, Related Specifications.
Note:
The types Binary, Color, Enumeration, Free Text, Numeric, Percent, Subjective, and Temperature are removed and replaced as Sample Table Data.
- Classification: Displays user-defined attributes. This section is created only once. If the object is associated to part classification or library classification, it is displayed in Spec View. Dynamic attributes from part classification or library classification can be read or modified as part of this section.

Table | If Table is selected in the Type field, the Table list appears. For more information, see Table for Section. |
Title | The title for the template section. |
Description | The description of the template section. |
Modify Access | Click to display a role or person. |
Section Information | If the section type is Table, then the Table Layout header appears instead of the Section Information header. If the section type is Classification, then the Section Information header does not appear and the classification header appears. |
From Information | If the section Type is Value Only, Horizontal List, Horizontal List with 2 Columns, or Vertical List, in the From Information area, select one of the following: |
Section Attributes | Do any of the following: - Select an attribute, and under Re-Order Attributes, click
or to reorder an attribute in the section. - Click
to delete an attribute in the section. - Under the M, C, or O columns, select either Mandatory, Claimed, or Optional.
Note:
This section does not appear if
the section type is Table or Classification.
