Creating a Panel

Panel lets you start your first package by creating a panel from a sketch. The first panel of the carton shape is considered as the reference panel.

  1. Create or select a profile.
  2. Select the profile positioning option is displayed in XMetaL V5.
    OptionDescription
    Thick in default direction Specifies the sketch at the normal direction of the panel thickness.
    Thick in reverse direction Specifies the sketch at the reverse position to the normal direction of the panel thickness.
    Sketch at middle position Specifies the sketch at the middle position of the panel thickness.
  3. Optional: To reverse the side of the printed face, click Invert.
