Mapping Elements

Element Mapping lets you use elements from a sketch to create a geometrical object in both folded and unfolded views.


Before you begin: Create a panel and a panel from an edge with a sketch.
  1. Select the sketch.

    You can select several sketches, curves, or points.

  2. In the Type list, select the mapping type.
    OptionDescription
    Construction element Creates elements (curves or points) in an intermediary construction.
    Characteristic element Creates elements required in the drawing for measures but not required in the laser process.
    User Defined Performs the mapping manually.
    The curve mapping is previewed as if the supporting panel was unfolded.
  3. Optional: Select the element on which the curve must be generated in the Support box.

    The default support is the current feature in the tree.
